Russell Street Arson

On Friday, December 22, 2023, Kawartha Lakes Police Service arrested the homeowner in relation to the residential fire that occurred on Russell Street December 17, 2023.


On December 17, 2023 Kawartha Lakes Police and Kawartha Lakes Fire and Rescue Services responded to the residential fire that destroyed the home, damaging a second residence. As a result of an ongoing investigation involving members of the Kawartha Lakes Police Criminal Investigations Branch and Forensic Identification Unit with the assistance of the Ontario Fire Marshall Office, a 24-year-old female has been arrested for the following offences,


Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence / Arson Endangering Life

Fraud Over $5000

The accused has been held for a bail hearing and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on December 22, 2023.


This investigation is on-going, Kawartha Lake Police are looking to identify and speak to the individual pictured below in relation to the incident.
