Police Looking to Identify Pontypool Robbery Suspect

At 9:15p.m. on January 8, 2021 officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call pertaining to a robbery at a business on Highway 35 in the Pontypool area


Initial investigation indicated that the suspect was wearing a black hoodie, a black and white mask and black rimmed glasses and was carrying a grey backpack (see attached photo). The suspect departed on foot. The OPP's Canine Unit and Forensic Identification Unit attended the scene to assist with the investigation.



At this time police are seeking the public's assistance to identify the suspect. Anyone having information on this crime or any others is asked to contact the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
